About Us

Faith Scruton White (vocals) is a proud Gibraltarian and has performed widely from a young age. This has included singing in musical theatre and at music festivals as well as winning the acclaimed Gibraltar's Got Talent in 2014.

Her early influences were power ballad singers such as Celine Dion and Lara Fabian but she later developed a love for more "stripped back" music.

She moved to Guildford in 2016 to enrol on a BA (hons) degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) specialising in vocals. It was here that she met up with Leicester born guitarist/singer/songwriter Callum Granger who joined ACM in the same year.

Callum has been playing guitar from the age of 10 and is influenced by a wide variety of players from genres ranging from rock and blues to folk and country to gypsy jazz.

Faith and Callum both write, play and sing and after playing with various college bands took the decision to step out as a duo with Faith generally taking the lead vocals and Callum adding harmonies and playing the lead guitar parts.

They officially became "Borders" in early 2017 and have gigged extensively across London and around the Guildford area. Encouraged by the positive response the two twenty year olds recorded a four track EP 'Carolina Moon' in October 2017. The EP has received numerous radio plays including BBC Introducing South, BBC Radio Sussex, BBC Radio Surrey and digital Folk and Country stations.

Their music is a blend of styles ranging from Folk and Roots to Americana and Blues with the emphasis on writing and arranging their own material.

The two are now working hard on their first full studio album of all original songs which they have begun to record at Metropolis Studios in London. They hope to have it completed and ready for release by April 2018
